Monica Crowley, who served as assistant secretary for public affairs in the Treasury Department, took to Truth Social to allege that what the public had been told about the events of January 6th was a lie.

Crowley also stated: “The real insurrectionists are those who framed Trump to try to stop him from ever being President again – & who framed YOU as “domestic terrorists” to try to crush America First.”

“They Will Pay”

She threatened that those who frame Trump “have failed – and they will pay.” Donald Trump ‘retruthed’ the post on Monday morning, asserting his agreement with Crowley’s claims.

Appealing the Order

At the same time, Trump’s attorney was arguing in the Court of Appeals against the gag order placed on him as part of the investigation into his interference with the 2020 election. The order, as reported by CNBC’s Dan Mangan, forbids “Trump from making public statements targeting prosecutors and “reasonably foreseeable” witnesses regarding their testimony.”

Trump’s “Grave Threats”

The gag order was given by the U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan who stated that Trump’s ongoing scrutiny of those involved in the case presented “sufficiently grave threats to the integrity of these proceedings.”

The gag order was temporarily paused at the behest of Trump and his team last month, but Chutkan has since reinstated the order after comments made by Trump about a potential witness in the case, former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows.

The Charges

The investigation into Trump’s attempt at overthrowing the 2020 election is one of four currently open cases against him. The current charge is scrutinizing Trump’s actions in Georgia, where he allegedly “spread lies about voter fraud, urged Georgia officials and state lawmakers to reverse Biden’s win and plotted to send fake electors to Washington.”

A Comprehensive List

The other three charges against the former president are for his involvement in the attack on the Capitol on January 6th, for withholding classified documents and for paying ‘hush’ money to a **** star.

Trump alleged that the cases made against him are a politically motivated “witch hunt”, purposely engineered by Biden to hinder his 2024 reelection bid.

“Biased, Trump Hating Judge”: Trump’s Outrage

Trump first learned of the gag order on October 30th, when he stated his disdain on Truth Social. The former president wrote: “I have just learned that the very Biased, Trump Hating Judge in D.C., who should have RECUSED herself due to her blatant and open loathing of your favorite President, ME, has reimposed a GAG ORDER which will put me at a disadvantage against my prosecutorial and political opponents.”

An Argument on Free Speech

Trump also expressed his desire to appeal the order on the grounds of taking away his free speech: “This order, according to many legal scholars, is unthinkable! It illegally and unconstitutionally takes away my First Amendment Right of Free Speech, in the middle of my campaign for President, where I am leading against BOTH Parties in the Polls. Few can believe this is happening, but I will appeal.”

“It Will Not Stand”

He concluded his statement by asking: “How can they tell the leading candidate that he, and only he, is seriously restricted from campaigning in a free and open manner? It will not stand!”

The Internet Has Questions

Many people were alarmed by Trump’s reposting of Crowley’s alleged threat. One person took to social media to ask: “How many threats can he make with impunity? Why is this being allowed?”

“Trump Is Symptomatic of a Deeper Rot”

Another person condemned Trump and the wider issues at hand: “A stupid pig-he is. But Trump is symptomatic of a deeper rot, the millions of Americans that are fixing to vote for him. They are the problem, they will bring fascism to the USA.”

Trump Is Already Receiving “Special Treatment”

One user claimed that Trump is already in breach of the gag order: “Special treatment is openly violating your gag order multiple times publicly while your case is being elevated to the supreme court because you are also running for president.”

The Public Are Tired of “Maniac” Trump

Another person lamented the ongoing impact of Trump’s claims: “Getting really sick and tired of this maniac threatening us. All of us, yes even the dumb dupes rooting for him. It’s incredibly soul crushing hearing about a bad man going on about punishing people and who just might be our overlord. No one wonders why Americans are depressed. It feels bad for everyone.”

Trump a “Cartoon Villain” Who May Still Win Anyway

Others are finding it hard to believe that Trump may have a chance at winning the election, with one person writing: “It’s remarkable that Trump has literally no platform, no ideas, no plans, no policy whatsoever. His supporters can’t name a single thing in his agenda. The only thing he has is a list of personal grievances and actual cartoon villain styled “When I come to power I’ll make them all pay!” … and he still has a genuine shot of winning.”

Trump Should Already Be in Jail

Responding to the claims made of Trump’s gag order being unfair, one person responded: “Unfair only in the sense that he is unable to keep his stupid mouth shut. But if the law was about being fair he would have been in jail for some time now.”
