“I Don’t Completely Disagree”: Donald Trump Has Some Strong Words for Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian has fallen out of favor with former president Trump, who is livid that the reality TV star has made comments about trying to get celebrities to the White House during his time in office.

The comments by Kardashian appear in a new book by ABC News Chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl, Tired of Winning: Donald Trump and the End of the Grand Old Party. It comes at a time when Trump, 77, is trying to win the White House for a second time, in the 2024 presidential election.

Trump Rant Against ‘Talentless’ Karl

Trump raged on social media: “Failed ABC Fake News reporter Jonathan Karl just wrote another bad book. He works sooo hard, but has sooo little talent — Some people have it, and some people don’t.”

Trump slammed the tome, and Kardashian, saying: “In the ‘book’ he has the World’s most overrated celebrity, Kim Kardashian, supposedly telling me that she ‘would leverage her celebrity to get football stars to come to the White House,’ if I would commute the sentences of various prisoners. This story is Fake News in that she would be the last person I asked to get football players.”

Kardashian, 43, who along with her family starred in the highly successful and long-running reality TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which ran for a marathon 20 seasons, campaigned for commutations for women who received lengthy prison sentences for relatively minor offenses.

Kardashian, who is studying and doing practical work experience to become a lawyer — hoping to pass the bar in 2025 — personally lobbied then-president Trump to commute the sentence of Tennessee woman Alice Marie Johnson, who had served over 20 years in prison for a first-time drug conviction. Trump granted the inmate a full pardon.

The reality star met with President Trump at the Oval Office after he also commuted the sentences of several other women. The meeting occurred in March 2020, as the president’s term was drawing to a close, with Kardashian saying on Twitter (now called X) that Trump’s pardons had brought “light to these women.”

In his new social media post, Trump acknowledged that he assisted Kardashian with her campaign but that he did it for her singer and now ex-husband Kanye West (now called Ye) more than her — and he also took a shot at the current president.

Suggests Kim Likely a Democrat

Trump blasted: “I did help with prisoner commutation, but only if deserving, and much more so for Kanye West than for Kim, who probably voted for Crooked Joe Biden, and look at the mess our Country is in now.”

‘Very Boring Book’

And Trump essentially said that Karl’s new book was not worth reading, railing: “Many other false stories in Karl’s very boring book, but nothing worth mentioning!”

Online Reaction to Spat

People online took aim at Trump for his comments about Kardashian, with one, under the name Ginny’s Vibez, saying on X: “He doesn’t consider himself a celebrity?”

In Agreement with Trump

Another person, with the handle AshLovesSoftball, wrote on X: “I absolutely detest the moment I have to agree with Trump about anything. But here we are.” X user Neko Mason concurred: “I mean, finally something Trumpy said that I don’t completely disagree with.”

‘Man of the Year’

Men’s fashion magazine GQ has named Kardashian one of its Men of the Year, and placed her on its front cover for its upcoming edition, out on November 28. Dressed in a suit and tie, with messy, seemingly wet hair in the cover photo, Kardashian — who posted the image on her Instagram account — and sisters Kourtney and Khloé and “momager” mother Kris speak in an interview with the publication.

‘Doing Best for Kids’

Kardashian says in the interview that following her divorce from Ye, the pair want to do their best for their four children.

‘Vulnerable Side’

She told GQ: You want to be sensitive because they’re just kids, and it’s hard to go through no matter what age. You have to make sure that you only go to a level that they can understand. It’s okay to show a vulnerable side. You never go to a negative side.”

A Busy Trump

Some may find it hard to believe that Trump found the time to criticize a book and a reality star, given that he’s not only running for president again — and is the GOP frontrunner for its nomination — but is also fighting off four indictments that carry a total of 91 criminal charges. Additionally, his real estate empire is in peril due to a fraud trial underway in New York City.
