“One of Worst Presidents in History”: Tom McClintock Says Biden Never Should Have Been Elected

California Congressman Tom McClintock has taken aim at President Joe Biden and fired what he hopes will be a deadly arrow among voters in the 2024 election: He is simply one of the worst American presidents ever.

Second Term Biden Run

The outspoken California Republican blasted Biden at a time when the incumbent is suffering in the polls and aiming to become the Democratic Party nominee for the 2024 election as he seeks a second term in office.

McClintock, 67, said at a conference in London, England: “I think he’s been one of the worst presidents in American history. You just see the damage he’s done to the economy, to the border, the inflation rate. The fact that people, after inflation, are making less today than they were when he took office.

‘Should Never Have Run’

Asked by a reporter from conservative UK TV channel GB News if Biden should run in next year’s race, McClintock said: “Oh, I don’t think he should have been elected.”

All About the Economy

The House representative said voters would decide in next year’s election based on their pocket — and said Biden had not helped their finances one bit during his past three years in the White House.

He said: “There’s going to be a very powerful question asked in 2024 and it’s the same question Ronald Reagan asked: ‘Are you better off today than you were four years ago?’”

McClintock answered his own question by saying that voters “know the answer to that in their own lives. And I think that that’s going to mean that Joe Biden will not be the president after 2024.”

Biden ‘Useless on Immigration’

The congressman also hit out at President Biden for what he said was his failure to stem a marked increase in the number of illegal migrants crossing the southern US border with Mexico.

Saying Biden was weak on immigration, McClintock praised former president Trump for building a wall along the southern border to keep illegal migrants out.

Trump ‘Ended Illegal Border Crossings’

The congressman continued: “Donald Trump had brought illegal immigration to a virtual standstill. His Mexico policy had stopped the phony asylum cases.”

Biden ‘Policy-Reversal Failure’

And he added: “We were nearing completion of the border wall while we were enforcing court-ordered deportations for the first time in years. And it was working. Biden reversed all of those policies in his very first day in office.”

National polling shows that President Biden is the clear favorite for the Democratic Party nomination in primaries taking place early next year. He is currently polling at around 70 percent voter support with almost no competition in the field. Vice President Kamala Harris is again his running mate.

Candidate Biden Concerns

Polls also show that the majority of Americans don’t want Biden to run again — because of his age and concerns raised during a recent series of gaffes and stumbles. Biden is 81 and the oldest person to have been elected US president.

Biden and Trump Race?

If he is selected as the Democratic nominee, Biden’s likely opponent for 2024 will be Trump, who is polling far ahead of the Republican Party nominee pack, with an approximate 50-point lead. But Trump, at 77, is only a few years younger than Biden and has suffered his own string of blunders in recent months.

Republican nominee challenger Ron DeSantis has hit out again at Biden’s age, saying he is far too old to be running for what is one of the toughest and most stressful jobs in the world.

‘Piloting the USA’

Writing on X (formerly Twitter), the Florida governor said: “Clearly Biden should not be running again. If you’re a pilot for an airline, they make you retire at 65. So if you can’t pilot a plane, somehow at 81 you can pilot the United States of America?”

Trump and Biden ‘Unfit’

One X user commented: “Trump and Biden should both retire from politics. An 81-year-old with dementia and an obese 77-year-old narcissist are both unfit for office.”

Biden’s ‘Good Job’

Someone else on X offered: “President Biden is doing a damn good job piloting the United States of America and they have pilots on Air Force One already so we’re good there, Ron.”

DeSantis’ ‘Florida Piloting’

Another X user addressed Governor DeSantis directly, saying: “You’re not doing too good of a job piloting Florida. What’s going on with the insurance rates down there?”
