Mary strongly implied that her uncle is also “transactional.”

Ivanka “doesn’t need daddy to keep her,” explained Mary in the podcast. “…her brothers are totally dependent on him [Donald Trump] for their wealth, and their identity is entirely wrapped in his political and business life at this point,”

Today, I am pained for both. I appreciate the voices across the political spectrum expressing support and concern.”

However, Ivanka has recently been dragged into her father’s NY fraud trial. Will this lead her to “flip” on her father?
The New York Attorney General’s office had previously questioned Donald Bender, who served as Trump’s former accountant at Mazars, regarding the cost of a penthouse apartment leased by Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump.
During the New York Fraud Trial, Bender testified that his job did not involve auditing Trump’s financial statements. Still, he did “from time to time” bring errors in financial documents to the attention of Trump Organization officials.

Mary Trump then went on to analyze Donald Trump’s ability to lie over and over again and actually believe his own lies. Mary said, “If he can only win by lying, cheating and stealing, that’s okay,” she said, because he believes he deserves it.
“…. he kind of gaslights himself over time, and that’s because the alternative is conceding that he’s a loser,” she stated.

According to his niece, the former president is so deeply invested in the lies that he genuinely believes them to some extent. She also noted that this is why he can be persuasive to those who are open to believing him. However, Mary asserted that she can discern “when he is lying.”
Inject a Lie With a Little Bit of Authenticity

“If he can inject the lie with even a little bit of authenticity, he’ll do it, so you know a lot of this is operating on the unconscious level, but the truth of the matter is he both knows and doesn’t allow himself to know,” Mary concluded.
