Trump Lashes Out at “Terrorist-Inviting” Biden “Backed by Barrack Hussein Obama”

Former president Donald Trump has once again highlighted Barack Obama’s Islamic heritage by repeatedly mentioning his middle name “Hussein” — and suggesting he’s the boss of Biden, who is “inviting terrorists to the United States.”

Speaking to supporters at a rally in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump also claimed that former president Obama was pulling Biden’s strings and acting like his boss.

‘Non-American’ Hint

Trump repeated at the event: “Barack Hussein Obama, Barack Hussein, Barack Hussein Obama.” Political analysts say Trump uses Obama’s full name to suggest Obama is not exactly American, a suggestion Trump has long made.

Resurrecting ‘Birther’ Claim

Trump has repeatedly promoted the false “birther” conspiracy theory that says Obama was not born in the United States and was therefore not eligible to become president.

Birthplace Irrelevant

Former president Obama, who served from 2009 to 2017, was born in Honolulu in Hawaii, which is part of the United States. His place of birth was irrelevant when running for the presidency, because one of his parents, his mother, was American, thereby making him a US “natural born citizen”.

Limbaugh Backup

At his Florida rally, Trump kept up his suggestion that Obama was not American by telling the crowd that late conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh used to call Obama by his full name, and emphasized the middle “Hussein.” Trump also said the capital, Washington, DC, looked terrible.

Bad Reaction Online

People on social media did not think much of Trump’s words. On X, formerly Twitter, a news site editor using the handle Acyn said: “Trump claims Biden is letting terrorists into the country because ‘Barack Hussein Obama’ and just repeats the name over and over again before saying the capital of the United States looks like “s***.”

Trump’s ‘Alternative Reality’

Another person on X, Luke Zaleski and also a media editor, wrote: “Trump doesn’t give speeches. He tells long, fake stories that provide an alternate reality in which he’s the hero and allow his audience to conflate themselves with him as he pretends to vanquish imaginary enemies like ‘Sleepy Joe,’ ‘Crooked Hillary,’ ‘the Deep State’ & ‘Fake News.’”

‘Rally Cry’

Still another X user, Comedic Canadian, suggested the reason Trump frequently tries to put Obama down as non-American was because “’Barack Hussein Obama’ is such a rally cry for his base; that’s why he repeats it.”

Rallying the Troops

Trump is campaigning for the Republican Party’s nomination to be its candidate for the 2024 election after losing re-election to Joe Biden in 2020. Trump refused to acknowledge he had lost, instead repeatedly, and falsely, claiming the election had been “stolen” from him because it was “rigged.”

2020 Election Fallout

Trump’s insistence that it was he who won the 2020 presidential election led to rioting at the US Capitol complex in January 2021, after he urged his supporters to gather there and protest the election results. Five people died in violence that erupted and dozens were arrested. The courts have been handing down stiff sentences to those convicted. The head of far-right group the Proud Boys, Enrique Tarrio, was jailed for 22 years in September for his part in organizing the uprising.

Legal Headaches

If Trump does become the Republican candidate for next year’s election — he is currently far ahead of other candidates, polling around 60% while rivals including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis are at 10% and less — he faces an array of legal challenges that could prove problematic to his presidential campaign.

Indictment Over 2020 Election

A grand jury voted to indict Trump for allegedly working to overturn the results of the 2020 election and also preventing the peaceful transfer of presidential power to Joe Biden. He is defending himself on federal charges of unlawfully storing confidential government documents at his home in Florida.

Trump Civil Cases

The former president is also battling a number of civil cases, including fraud related to his Trump Organization and its property portfolio. The judge in that case has found that fraud was committed and he revoked several of the organization’s trading licenses. Prosecutors have asked for a fine of at least $250 million.

‘Obama in Control’

In a speech in New Hampshire earlier in October, Trump alleged that Obama — whose vice president was Biden — was in control at the White House. “It’s never been worse than it is now under crooked Joe Biden and, frankly, his boss, Barack Hussein Obama. I think it’s his boss,” he told hundreds of supporters.
