“My Father Is a Liar”: Ivanka Trump’s Testimony in NY Trial Is “A Real Danger Zone” for Trump, Says Former Army Prosecutor

Glenn Kirschner, a former army prosecutor, has appeared on several MSNBC shows claiming that Ivanka Trump is “a real danger zone” for Donald Trump and his two sons, Eric and Trump Jr. She has recently lost an appeal to delay her testimony, citing “undue hardship” and all eyes are on her upcoming appearance in the New York court where Trump’s fraud trial is ongoing.

Trump Is Facing the “Danger Zone.”

Kirschner’s recent statements regarding the potentially explosive nature of the former president’s testimony proved accurate when Judge Engoron found it necessary to repeatedly request Trump’s legal team to rein in their client, who was resistant to answering questions. The former prosecutor also hinted that Ivanka’s testimony could place Trump and his sons in a precarious position, which he called the “danger zone.”

Kirschner Looking Forward to Ivanka’s Testimony

Kirschner recently told an MSNBC host, “I’m actually looking forward to something a Trump has to say,” he went on to add, “But it’s not Donald Trump. It’s Ivanka Trump because I think she presents a real danger zone for her father and her brothers.”

Her Testimony Will Be “Really Damaging.”

Appearing on another of MSNBC’s shows, The ReidOut, Kirschner explained why Ivanka Trump’s testimony could be so dangerous to her father and brothers. He said, “The fact that she has been mightily fighting the prospect of having to testify in this case signals that it might be because her testimony is really damaging to her other family members,” referring to her recent claims of “undue hardship” which were rejected by the court.

Ivanka Disagreed With Father Over Election Fraud

Kirschner continued, “…and then the third point and the most common one, Jonathan, is we all saw during the January 6 select committee public hearings, we saw her famously disagree with her father about election fraud.”

“I Credit Bill Barr.”

The former prosecutor then went on to remind the host and audience of what was said during the hearing, “She was asked, do you agree with your father that there was widespread election fraud undermining the results, or do you agree with [former Attorney General] Bill Barr that there was no election fraud undermining the results of the election? She answered, ‘I believe, I credit Bill Barr,’”

My Father Is a Liar

Kirschner explained, “In other words, read between the lines: my father is a liar. That sounds like a signal that Ivanka was sending to her father, and by extension out, maybe to her brothers: do not pull me into this because I will not comply with your lies. So yes, I’m looking forward to what Ivanka has to say.”

It’s “Really Going to Hurt Dad”

He then joked, “Boy, that was sort of Ivanka introducing her father to the undercarriage of a bus. So, it may very well be that she’s so desperately trying to stay out of that courtroom because if she testifies truthfully, it’s really going to hurt Dad and her brothers.”

Mary Trump Also Said Ivanka Will Throw Father “Under the Bus.”

Mary Trump, the niece of former President Trump, has also said she thinks Ivanka Trump will throw her father “under the bus” when she testifies in the fraud trial in New York. She has been very outspoken over Trump’s ongoing problems in court.

Mary Trump Lashed Out at Ivanka

Mary Trump later lashed out at Ivanka’s bid to delay her testimony over her “undue hardship” claims because she was due to testify on a “school day.”

Hasan Mocks Ivanka’s Claim of Undue Hardship

MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan has also mocked Ivanka Trump’s claim of “undue hardship,” saying it was a “pretty amazing excuse.” Mary Trump, who he was interviewing at the time, agreed.

“I think it just speaks to the breathtaking entitlement of these people that they don’t even think that other people are going to look at their past behavior to realize that they leave their kids home all the time,” Mary Trump told Hasan.

Did She Forget Her Husband?

“And she also seems to have forgotten that she has a husband who can presumably take care of their children,” Mary further argued.

NY Judge Extends Gag Order to Include Trump’s Lawyers

Amid escalating tensions during the trial, Judge Arthur Engoron extended Trump’s gag order, preventing his legal team from discussing any additional details related to confidential interactions between the judge and his staff, whether within or outside the courtroom.

The Threat of Violence Is “Well-Documented.”

“The threat of, and actual, violence resulting from heated political rhetoric is well-documented,” Engoron wrote in his order. “Since the commencement of this bench trial, my chambers have been inundated with hundreds of harassing and threatening phone calls, voicemails, emails, letters, and packages,” he continued.

Judge to Protect His Staff From Threats and Harm

“The First Amendment right of defendants and their attorneys to comment on my staff is far and away outweighed by the need to protect them from threats and physical harm,” Engoron further stated.

Trump Testified That Property Estimates Were Inaccurate

In recent developments, Trump’s testimony this week revealed that his company had not presented precise assessments for numerous properties. During his testimony, he delivered a lengthy and somewhat disorganized performance on the witness stand, asserting that the valuations were not significant.

“It Wasn’t Important”

“It wasn’t important. You’ve made it important, but it wasn’t,” Trump said to Engoron when asked about the property estimates.

Self-Preservation More Important Than Loyalty

Users posted online saying the family should heed her warnings. One user posted, “Her attempt to pull away from the family makes her the smartest of the bunch. They should heed her warnings, but I don’t think they can. When she testified for the J6 committee, essentially saying that trusted Barr’s assessment over that of her father’s, it was writing on the wall, her wall, the one that’s showing cracks. All we can hope is that an “accident” doesn’t befall her.” Another posted, “Say what you want about her, but I think her self-preservation is way more important to her than her loyalty.”
