“Let Trump Fester!” – New Poll Reveals Americans’ Raw Feelings on Former President

A recent survey by The Associated Press and the NORC Center for Public Affairs Research dropped a bombshell. 70% of participants do not want to see Donald Trump run for the presidency again. With an overwhelming 93% of Democrats echoing this sentiment, many were shocked to find that 63% of Independents agreed.

Educational Split in Opinions

Looking at the demographics, 65% of participants without a college degree shared they wouldn’t back Trump in future elections. The figures were even more pronounced for the highly educated, with around 80% opposing his potential run. This is markedly different from the polls during the 2020 election.

Republican Sentiments

However, the Republican party seems to be at a crossroads. Approximately 44% of them don’t want Trump to be elected again. While many are searching for an alternative to Trump, no other politician has garnered as much support as him. Even so, opinions towards Trump appear mixed with most Republicans.

Democrats and Biden’s Prospects

On the Democratic front, 47% hope to see Joe Biden compete again in 2024. When considering all the participants, only 26% backed him. This is possibly due to age-related concerns. Still, an impressive 78% of Democrats praise Biden’s efficiency in office. But skepticism remains on both sides of the debate.

Biden’s Popularity Within His Party

Despite public missteps and personal controversies, Biden remains popular among his party members. Approximately 81% express readiness to vote for him, showing that most Democrats are keen to support Biden. However, there are still those who wish for another leader – roughly 20%.

Public’s Exhaustion

Public feelings unmistakably hint towards a nationwide sense of unhappiness with leadership. The constant tug-of-war between Biden and Trump supporters has many hoping for a fresh start. If the Democrats present a better candidate, it’s possible they could tap into this exhaustion and see a spike in their approval ratings.

Legal Challenges Ahead for Trump

Donald Trump’s road to 2024 is paved with many legal hurdles. He’s not just battling public opinion but is also facing a web of legal actions, controversies, and looming federal charges. These unresolved legal matters, expected to drag on, could severely hamper his chances should he decide to run again.

Biden’s Support Questioned

Several citizens are left wondering about the firm support President Biden seems to command. One person mused, “I honestly don’t understand how Biden has that much support.” They questioned how some Democrats could continue to support Biden, given the state of the American economy.

The Irony of Choice

The past administrations have left some re-evaluating their loyalties. One user said, “The irony is I would rather a Trump presidency over a Biden one now that we’ve had both. The average Joe economically was better off under Trump, and anyone who said Trump would start WW3 must feel pretty stupid now, considering Biden is marching towards it against our wishes.”

Kennedy’s Upcoming Dominance

While most discussions revolve around Biden and Trump, some foresee an outsider taking the lead. A vocal supporter exclaimed, “Kennedy is going to win so dominantly that it will officially end the credibility of MSM, polls, etc. I got a feeling this is going to be a remarkable landslide victory.”

Clinging to the Controversial Figure

Trump’s leadership style continues to polarize audiences. As one person said, “Let the MAGAts continue clinging to the orange criminal. The rest of us will vote appropriately to reject him.” However, one user disagreed, saying, “There’s a clear corruption double standard the Biden administration has. I would absolutely take the moronic mean tweets over what is currently happening.”

Comparison with Biden’s Popularity

Despite several critiques of Trump, Biden isn’t immune from scrutiny. As one commentator observed, the results about Trump “[don’t] sound as bad as Biden where over 70% don’t want him to run.” However, others were quick to point out that this appears to be factually incorrect, considering the actual results of the poll.

Conversion Stories

The political landscape has caused many to re-evaluate their beliefs. A converted Trump supporter shared, “I am a converted Trump supporter after fact-checking the left’s claims against him. Master’s degree in accounting with an emphasis in taxation. The lies from the left about hacking election machines is actually very troubling.”

Financial Concerns

With debates on financial policies, a critic stated, “Trump and Bush tax cuts for the Wealthy have cost the U.S. 10 Trillion dollars in Revenue while the Social Security Trust Fund has shrunk to 2.9 Trillion dollars. Does this sound fair now that the GOP is crying about cutting SS and Medicare?” Others agreed with this critique of Trump’s handling of the economy.

Party Loyalties Shift

However, some users addressed the evolution of the Republican party, which has led to mixed feelings for many. One user said, “I am not a Republican, but I used to respect the party and thought they were relevant. Today, the Republican Party is a circus. Republicans like Liz Cheney should be the leaders of the party, and almost 50% of those Republicans that are not part of the circus should stand tall with her.”

The Waiting Game

Similarly, the strategies of some political figures have led to confusion among some people. One particularly confused user said, “And liberals wonder why Jack Smith is moving slowly. Let Trump fester, and every moderate at the polls will just pull the big blue lever.” They argued that the Democrats needed to be firmer in their opposition to Trump.

The GOP’s Direction

Among some people, there is a growing sense that the GOP is shifting away from its core values. A concerned observer mentioned, “At some point, you have to realize the GOP has been taken by a lie. Some will go the other way, and some will say, ‘that is their truth.’ Those are the people that will blindly go into conspiracies.”

The Trump Millionaire Paradox

Trump’s reputation among the elite has been a point of discussion. One person argued, “Let’s be honest. Trump has always been a joke, even among millionaires. Other millionaires never respected Trump. Nobody did. For some reason, Trump could sucker these working-class white people and convince them he was one of them. He isn’t, and as I said, other millionaires never considered Trump one of them, either. Nobody ever respected Trump.”

The Lingering Effects of Trump

Another user shared the same idea, saying, “The concept of the Apprentice was that even these washed-up has-beens in Hollywood wouldn’t REALLY want to work for Trump. Trump has always been an idiotic failure/ loser who destroyed most of his businesses, destroyed the United States now for 7 years, and is currently running the Republican Party further into the trash heap of history.”
