Kari Lake, a TV news anchor turned far-right politician, hit back over Trump’s indictment for retaining classified records and sent a chilling message to President Biden, the US Attorney General, and “…the guys back there in the fake news media…”

Kari Lake, in a speech to Georgia Republicans, warned, “If you want to get to President Trump, you’re going to have to go through me, and you’re going to have to go through 75 million Americans just like me.”

Kari Lake then threatened that the 75 million Americans just like her were armed members of the NRA. Following in Donald Trump’s footsteps as an avid supporter of the former President, she does not shy away from controversial outbursts.
“And I’m going to tell you, most of us are card-carrying members of the NRA [National Rifle Association],” she warned her listeners.

Lake Speaking in Place of Former Vice-President Mike Pence

Lake was speaking in Georgia in place of Mike Pence, the former Vice President who escaped the riot at the Capitol on January 6. Individuals within the MAGA mob chanted about hanging him after being told to “fight like hell” by Trump. Pence was at the Capitol to preside over the certification of Joe Biden’s victory and did not attempt to block the electoral college results.
Makeshift gallows were set up outside. Rioters inside were heard chanting, “Hang Mike Pence.”

Ruben Gallego is seeking election to the US Senate in the upcoming year, aiming to replace the previous Independent Senator, Kyrsten Sinema.
Gallego responded to Lake’s speech, “As a marine who went all the way to Iraq to defend this country, our democracy, and our freedoms, I know this language isn’t just hyperbole – it’s dangerous, and it threatens the very core of our democracy.”

Gallego continued to say Lake “owes every America-loving Arizonan an apology” and further stated, “her off-the-rails rhetoric that does nothing but sow doubt in our elections.”

Lake reiterated her dangerous rhetoric in an appearance on Steven Bannon’s War Room podcast. Astonishingly, she inflated the number of purported Trump supporters willing to sacrifice for the former President to “300 million.”
