Oscar-winning Actor Robert De Niro, one of the most influential actors of his generation, has once again criticized Donald Trump, labeling the former President and probable Republican nominee for the 2024 election as evil at a summit in NY.

Robert De Niro’s statement was featured at the Stop Trump Summit in NYC, which was organized by the New Republic magazine. De Niro couldn’t be present at the event in person as he had tested positive for Covid.

The actor’s absence at the Stop Trump Summit in New York was due to his Covid diagnosis. However, his message was conveyed as a cautionary reminder, “We must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously.”

De Niro has consistently expressed his disapproval of Trump. In a video prior to the 2016 election, he remarked, “He’s so blatantly stupid. He’s a punk. He’s a dog. He’s a pig. A con.”

De Niro has been challenging Trump for Years,
In April 2011, in an interview with Brian Williams at his Tribeca Film Festival, De Niro compared Trump, without naming him, to a “car salesman.”
“It’s like a big hustle; It’s like being a car salesman,” De Niro added. “Don’t go out there and say things unless you can back them up. How dare you? That’s awful to do. To just go out and speak and say these terrible things? Unless you just wanna get over and get the job. It’s crazy.”

“It was only a symbolic thing,” De Niro said. “But he’s got to hear it. He’s got to hear that, you know, that’s how he makes people feel. It’s not good to feel that way. It’s not good to start that stuff up, but at the same time, sometimes, when people are bullies like that, that’s what you have to do to shut them up. Bully them back.” De Niro previously stated, in response to his comments against the former President.
