A man shared how he got his own back on the students who stole his parking spot at the doughnut shop.

Best Doughnuts
He explained that because the local doughnut shop was next to a pub, it didn’t close until 9pm. It was the best doughnut shop in the area, so was always popular with the locals.
Snacks
He and his girlfriend got a serious hankering for some snacks, so decided to head to the doughnut shop. They arrived there at around 8:30pm by car.
The Parking Spots
There were only three parallel parking spots a little further up the street from the shop. He said that all the spots were usually full. However, he saw an empty space further up the street.

He said, “My girlfriend pulled a little ahead of the car in front of the spot, turned on her indicator, and began backing into the parking spot. This little white vespa driving behind us whipped into the spot.
First Come, First Served
He rolled down the window and called out to the driver, “Excuse me, we were just backing in.” The driver, who seemed to be a university student, shrugged her shoulders and called back, “Sorry, first come first served.”
Laughing
The student driver and her friend laughed. The two of them stayed inside the car.
Loop Round
His girlfriend suggested they just get doughnuts another time. Instead, he told her to drop him off, then loop around while he bought the doughnuts. He knew her well enough to know what she liked.
Got There First
Because he was dropped off closer, he got inside before the two girls. They arrived just after him.
Long Line
The man said the line was long for doughnuts, like it always was at the shop. With closing time nearing, there were fewer choices of flavors.
Favorites
The two girls were behind him, looking at the 5 or so different flavors that were left. They were talking about which ones were best and which they hadn’t tried yet. He heard one of them jokingly say, “Thank god we got a parking spot,” then they burst out laughing.
All the Doughnuts
When he reached the front of the line, he requested two dozen doughnuts, which was every last one remaining. The girls behind him hadn’t heard his order. However, looks of confusion started to form on their faces as they slowly saw each doughnut loaded into the boxes.
None for Us?
One of the girls (the driver) sounded close to desperation as she asked the baker, “What, you’re not even going to save a few for us?” At this moment, the man turned around and said, “Sorry, first come first served.”

He recalled that her expression was amusing to him, saying, “It’s difficult to put into words. It was truly an expression I can never forget.”

Not liking the idea of sharing with his colleagues, one man suggested he should have sat outside and forced the entire box down while they watched. Maybe then he could pretend to “realize” the awkwardness and offer them the rest of the last half-eaten one.
