Donald Trump is suing the ex-British MI6 Agent who compiled a dossier that alleged he had ties to Russia’s Kremlin.

Image Credit: Shutterstock.Court Records show that Trump is suing Christopher Steele, who previously ran the Secret Intelligence Service’s Russia Desk while working for the British agency, in a data lawsuit.Steele had also previously been a confidential informant for the FBI since 2013. U.S. officials had said his past work was “considered credible.”
A Justice Department Watchdog Said Steele has “poor judgment”

The former U.S. president is bringing a data protection claim against Orbis Business Intelligence, Steele’s company, as well as the former MI6 agent. The suit was initially filed in November last year. No other details of the claim are currently available.
The Steele Dossier

The dossier was leaked to BuzzFeed in 2017 and alleged that Russian President Vladimir Putin “supported and directed” an operation to “cultivate” Trump. The intention being to cultivate him as a presidential candidate for “at least five years.”
