In a podcast interview with the Comedian Bill Maher, Steele told of her sadness when previously interviewing President Biden for ESPN.
“Here’s the saddest thing: his voice just trailed off,” she said.

During the podcast with comedian Maher, Steele strongly criticized President Biden and revealed what she implied as signs of his cognitive decline based on her prior “chit chat” with him before the recorded ESPN interview in 2021.

Steele started the interview by stating how she thought President Biden was a terrible President.
“I don’t like him. I think he’s a terrible president,” she said. “However, forget that. The human aspect of what we’re witnessing right now with him — to me, it’s heartbreaking, and it’s inexcusable by the family when you knew during the election.”
Steele Had to Chit-Chat With Biden Due to Technical Issues

She then explained that in a taped interview with Biden, they had a technical problem, meaning she had to “chit-chat” with the President until the issue was resolved.

Steele alleged that President Biden needed his aid to assist Biden with the interview.
“So I can hear him, and he goes, ‘What is this for? Wait — what’s her name?’” Steele recounted.
“I was going, ‘Oh my God!’ And then an aide said, ‘SportsCenter, ESPN.’ And he goes, ‘Oh, OK.’”

Steele then went on to explain to Maher how President Biden started to reflect on his football career. Steele said, “He goes, ‘I have the best hands.’ What do you say to that?” Steele asked.

“And here’s the saddest thing — his voice just trailed off. He said, ‘I was good,’ and then he went silent, and he goes …, ‘Uh, never mind.’
Biden Couldn’t Finish His Sentences – He Struggled

Steele further described what she had witnessed during the ESPN interview, “I thought it was so sad because I realized that’s why he was in the basement during the whole election cycle — because even then he couldn’t finish his sentences, he struggled.”
Steele States She Did Not Vote for Biden

“So forget about politics. I don’t care; I didn’t vote for him,” she revealed. “However, that made me sad,” admits Steele

Steele Left the Network After Settling a Lawsuit

In August, Steele formally ended her association with ESPN after resolving a lawsuit in which she claimed that the network and Disney had marginalized her following her appearance on Jay Cutler’s Uncut podcast.

In an unexpected turn of events, jazz music suddenly filled the air via the loudspeaker, and even as the 80-year-old persisted in his efforts to respond to inquiries, he continued speaking into the microphone.
As the President attempted to address more questions, the music increased in volume, prompting Biden to stop and exit the stage by moving behind a black curtain.
