3 Comments a poem for girls - by Michele Yulo
I'm a girl...
and I like lots of things.
I play in the dirt and like to find worms and roly polys.
I'm interested in dinosaurs and sabers and bats. Yeah--
I'm really into bats because they stay up all night and hang
upside down. I like to dance and sing--I can scat
like nobody's business. Riding my bike down hills
makes me giddy--makes my heart race as fast as the ride.
I can be anything I want because I know
what girls are made of. Not sugar and spice and everything nice.
Nope.
Want to know what we're made of? Whatever we say--that's what!
Because every girl is different. And I should know...
I'm a girl.

i am with you people call me a boy all the time and make fun of me but never le them get you down be your self
This blog is kind of offensive considering that I like princesses. Sorry, but it's my opinion. I like tomboy but at the same time diva princesses like Princess Daisy from the Mario series.
Anonymous--why would this be offensive to you? It's describing some ways that girls are. Just because it doesn't include "princess" shouldn't be a bad thing. Good for you that you can be all those things. There are girls who simply don't adhere to the princess thing by the way. The whole point is that girls can be whatever they want--whatever they say. Not just "sugar and spice and everything nice." No need to apologize. There is plenty of princess out there for those who like it.
